We went camping for the Australia Day long weekend with family, that’s right with relatives, people who we’re actually related to that also love the great outdoors.

Being able to spend more time with them was a major factor in our decision to make the move to Western Australia. And Australia Day just gone we spent the weekend exploring all that the Great South West has to offer.

It was a weekend of long drives, spectacular landscapes, & dirty children. And I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Emma you’ll have to give me some of your favourite spots, we’re still exploring what WA has to offer.

I sure will Bettina, I’ve found some great Aussie blog this week that I didn’t know about before. Thank-you.

Looks a beautiful spot near the beach – and the water looks amazing! None of my family camp (they all think we are a little crazy), so you are lucky to have family that don’t feel the same as mine!

Your so right Annie, we are the luckiest. They actually drove across to Cairns from WA when our daughter was born, we were meant to do the cape with them but it wasn’t the best of times with a two week old hub. It’s special having them just up the road now.
