We’ve been getting back into our normal routine this week. There’s been no visitors, there’s been plenty of cooking, & we haven’t had to make a mad dash to get anywhere on time. In fact I don’t think I’ve even looked at the clock all week.

Mr Nomad has been back at work for two weeks, it’s familiar to me but not so to the children. He’s been at home for well over a month, it’s going to take some getting used to again. Will wakes every morning looking for his daddy. He’s scared that he’s gone back on the “ship boat”. And every morning I give him the same cuddle & reassurance that daddy hasn’t gone on the “ship boat”, he’s just gone to work & will be back later in the day.

The kids hear Mr Nomads truck pull into the driveway from where ever they are in the house, & the house then fills with squeals of delight. It makes me smile, it makes the kids smile, & it makes Mr Nomads day every time he opens that door to his happy children.

Our good friends child was hospitalised this week with a nasty virus, he’s ok now but it made me realise just how venerable our little cherubs can be. We can nurture them, & let them grow with love but there will always be outside influences. Things that we just wont be able to protect them from. For now I’m happy that my cherubs are healthy & happy, it’s all I could ever wish for.

Isla – You love the wind in your hair, it must make you feel free. And your face is starting to change, it’s getting a little chubbier. Your looking more & more like your daddy each day.

Will – Cheeky, cheeky Will, you rule my world. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. You are so inquisitive, & love correcting me when I explain things the wrong way. I love your pronunciation, & your diction. You are smart beyond your years.
